LoaderLock on Simple Add-in

I have a "clean" setup of Team Services for Developers (version
8.0.50727.42) on a new machine (XP Professional SP2).  I have followed both
the "Walkthrough: Building Add-Ins (Extensibility Guided Tour)" and
"Walkthrough: Debugging an Add-in Project (Visual Studio Automation and
Extensibility)" and in both cases immediately get "LoaderLock was detected"
when I run/debug the Add-In (F5).

Naturally if I continue through the errors (8 of them) the add-in will fail.

Any idea what would be causing the LoaderLock error on such simple add-ins?

No idea, but I think that Managed Debugged Assistants (MDAs) of VS 2005 like
the LoaderLock can be disabled. Check the docs about how to do this to see
if it helps.
