Hi there,

I'm using the whidbey VSIP to create a sample toolwindow. The option doesn't
appear under View->Other windows as it used to do in VSIP 2003. I noticed the
same in the ToolWindow sample that came with the SDK. Is there a behavior
change? How can I get to the option to launch my toolwindow?

Thanks!

Be sure you are running with the General Development profile. Per the
readme.htm that ships in the vsip 8.0 directory:

You must run Visual Studio 2005 Exp with the default General Development
Settings.  If you don't, your commands may not show up in the menus.
If you're launching Visual Studio 2005 Exp for the first time, you'll be
asked to choose your default environment setting.

Select General Development Settings, then click Start Visual Studio.
If instead you’ve already launched Visual Studio 2005 Exp.

From the Tools menu, select Import/Export Settings...
Click the Reset IDE Settings radio button.
Select General Development Settings from the list, then click Reset
Settings.
When prompted, Don't Save your current settings.

I'm guessing that this is probably why you don't see the menu items getting
integrated into the environment.
