I have a managed language service with method tips working for local project
members. I am trying to provide method tips for .NET Framework class library
references.

Does anyone know how to retrieve the Description/Tip Text of the Framework
members using Whidbey managed interfaces?

I'm just looking for a brief summary or a point in the right direction.

Thanks.

Hi, Chris

I talked to the VSIP guys, and they pointed me to an issue they had back in
June.  In summary, "this is not supported. There is no way to access it. It
is privately held by the text editor implementation. It was never
anticipated that someone would want access
to this."

Hope this helps,
