is anyne seen any stand-alone xquery engines, as COM/active or .NET
controls?

Yea, but there nothing special, that im looking for =)
i sniffed internet whole last week for it, can't find anything useful.

Microsoft impl can be wrapped into a .NET control, isn't it?
