I am using Windows XP with Internet Explorer6 (Dell Computer with Pentium 4
proceesor and 256 MB Ram). Recently, I switched to DSL broadband. The modem
supplied with the DSL is having inherent firewall. As I was having problem
with browsing in general, I disabled/un-installed all the firewall
software-antivirus,adaware etc.from my computer.
I am still facing the problem as follows:
1.After opening internet mail inbox, and after opening first mail, I am not
able to do anything. Which ever button I click, there is no action as if all
the buttons are disabled.
2.I am not able to upload most of the log on screens of web applications and
those where data input is required like for bill payments. After some time
after clicking "Submit", the window is exhibiting "This page cannot be
displayed" page.

Can any one please analyse the problem and give me solution. I bypassed the
firewall on the broadband modem and tried. But, there is no improvement.

You have posted to a forum about web services, not about modems.

256MB and a Pentium 4 is a very weak development system, BTW.
