are there any issues with xcopy deployment of WSE 2/3 ?

the docs appear to state that the only supported method of deployment is by running the supplied msi.  is this correct? if it is, is this for technical reasons?

Hi Andy

From what I have read and seen in posts WSE 2.0 does not support XCopy
deployment it has to be installed on the server in order for any apps using
it to run. I could be wrong, if someone else could also confirm this is the
case.

I posted a question here over a week ago and am still waiting on a reply.
Question about "Secure Conversation doesn't work with second web service". So
my advice to you would be to ask the question on www.eggheadcafe.com the guys
always reply in my experience and I got an answer the same day. Just in case
no one else confirms that it cant be used.

Cheers

Thanks for your response

My experience is that xcopy with wse does work.

My major concern is that the ms runtime docs say that the only way to install wse is voa the msi file...clearly not acceptable.
