Hello

I just installed WSE 3.0. Unfortunately the WSE 3.0 Settings menu is
missing in Visual Studio 2005. There is no menu item in the context menu
of a project in the solution explorer.

I tried reinstalling the package. No success.

Does anyone know what I can do?

TIA,
Jens

Here is a solution/workaround:

Locate the file WSESettingsVS3.Addin. I found it at C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\MSEnvShared\Addins\. Just
copy this file to a folder that is registered as an Add-in folder within
VS. For example to C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\My
Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Addins\.

Ciao,
Jens

To find the file you should  make a search indicating (using Windows XP) inside hidden files and subfolders. The file is protected by Windows XP as hidden.

Then create the folder AddIn inside the folder Visual Studio 2005 located at My Documents. Copy the WseSettingsVS3.Addin file to the AddIn folder you just created. This will solve this situation.

Open VS2005, select context menu (rigt clic mouse) and Voila there is WSE 3.0 Settings tool available to you.

Hope it helps!

NOTE: I tried to publish the file, it just have XML tags but the forum program dont' allowed me to do it. You can contact me via email and I can send it back to you if you cannot find the file.
