Switching SoapClient -> WebServicesClientProtocol (WSE 2.0 SP1)

All,

I have a webservice proxy class which I would like to use
with WSE 2.0 SP1. Thus I switched the base class from
SoapClient to WebServicesClientProtocol. Now I'm not able
anymore to compile the proxy class since in the generated
methods there are method calls like
'base.SendRequestResponse' and in the
WebServicesClientProtocol there aren't such methods.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Regards,
Yves

In order to use the native SoapClient architecture in WSE you will need to
generate a proxy using WseWsdl.exe (in the Tools dir under WSE).

Sorry,

WseWsdl2.exe is the correct name.

Morten,

Thanks for replying. I used this tool to generate the proxy. The base
class of generated proxy has the SoapClient as the base class. In MSDN
everywhere is written that in order to be able to sign and encrypt
messages the proxy must have the WebServicesClientProtocol as the base
class. Furthermore they say just to switch the base class. But this
doesn't seem to work...Any further ideas?

Thanks,
Yves

There is no need to use WebServicesClientProtocol as the base class to
encrypt and sign.

See the other thread in this NG:
