How to process the SPNego in an InfoCard RST (HttpHandler level)

Hi,

We are trying to develop a STS for InfoCard. Our server is based on a CLR
.NET but it is not using a complete Framework. I have to process the message
at a HttpHandler level! Which is quite low level.

I receive a Soap message with a RequestSecurity element that contains a
BinaryExchange element that appeared to be a SPNego protocol. Unfortunately I
couldn't find a complete specification of the protocol that could help me to
process the protocol and build the RSTR expected by the InfoCard framework.

Does any one in MS could help find the way to a specification of the
protocol that is implemented in this exchange?

Thks a lot

Hi Olivier,
I am also had that problem a couple of months ago when I tried to implement
a STS for a WCF client.
WCF sends that message when it tries to negociate the service credentials.
I'm not sure what is the expected response for that message or how to
process it. In my case, I disabled the "negociateServiceCredentials" flag in
the wsHttpBinding and I manually specified the service credentials in the
client application.

It seems a solution because we want to go through and be able to process the
RST packet, but may I ask where you found some documentation about the
different flags like 'negociateServiceCredentials' that I didn't find even in
the MSDN and how to manually specify credentials?

As always with MS, even opened technology are very obscure!

Thks for your help
Olivier

Hi Olivier,
Yes, there is not good documentation about WCF in the MSDN.
I used these four resources:

1. WCF samples in the WinFX SDK
2. WCF forum. I recommend you to post your question there since the WCF
program managers are always watching these threads.
http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/showforum.aspx?forumid=118&siteid=1&PageID=0
3. Different blogs from the WCF team
4. Try and Error :)

Pablo Cibraro.
