Hands on WSE 3.0Security Lab - Keep getting WSE910 Error

Hi,

I'm trying to work my way through the hands-on WSE 3.0 lab. I've followed
part 1 step by step but I keep coming up against the following error:
WSE910: Security requirements are not satisified because the security header
is not present in the incoming message.

Anyone have any ideas of how I get round this? I assume it's some
authentication issue but I've set-up the lab exactly how the manual
prescribes.

Any help gratefully received.

I subsequently got the lab working by installing the private key/public key
version of the server certificate in the Current User, Other People
certificate store. The instructions for the lab tell you that you only need
the public key part which makes sense. However, the lab doesn't work with
just the public key part !

Hi Wrattej,

I too am trying to follow the security lab. I used the appendix as requested
to step thru the creation of building certificates but got stuck on the
"import" step. According to the instructions I should find a key under

C:\Program Files\Micrososft WSE\v3.0\Samples\Sample Test Certificates\Client
Private.pfx

However I cannot continue as there are no folders below .\Sample\ called
Sample Test Certificates. Did the lab miss a step? Was supposed to create the
keys? Where are the instructions?

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Jamie

Hi,
Same problem here, there's no folders below ...\Samples\. What's happening
here?
Please advise!

Thanks for your help,
Greg

Hi Greg,

I have officially submitted this to Microsoft as a bug (FDBK44279). So far
they have acknowledged it as such but have not responded back with anything
further on the topic.
It is currently "Under Review". I encourage anyone who has experienced this
frustration to "vote" on this bug to help give it some priority.

Also I recently spoke face to face with a Microsoft speaker Scott Bushey
<scottbus@avanade.com> who did seminars on WSE 2.0 last year. I demonstrated
to him what the problem was. He said he would make a few calls and get back
to me on his findings.

I will post any findings to this thread.
