Hallo,

I've built a Windows-Service application and want to expose its
configuration interface via Webservices.

My question is: Is it possible to create a HTTP Webservice (not tcp!) with
WSE 2.0 SP1 that is hosted in a windows service?

Additional, it would be great, if a client could obtain a WSDL with a call
to http://myserver:3290/webserver?wsdl.

Any help would be appreciated.

Greetings,
Henning Krause

I dont think I have a direct answer to your question. However, you can do
that with VS2005 and (WinXPSP2 OR W2K3)

I have a blog here that explains.

You can always expose the WSDL as a downloadable file somewhere in your
directory. If you choose to disable the asmx documentation stuff and want
the client to preview the WSDL directly ONLY, you can set <remove
name="documentation">

Thank you very much

How did you get wse 2.0 to work with VS 2005.  When I tried to install wse
2.0 sp1, it failed to install.  I only had Framework 2.x installed (beta
version), so maybe you have 1.1 installed side-by-side?

Hi William,

Yes, I have both of them installed side-by-side. Therefore, I could use it
in VS2005 with no problems.

Thanks.
