WSE 3.0 Oct Installation Error

I have the ever so popular WSE 3.0 installer error of "1722:  A program run
as part of the setup did not finish as expected."

However, I do have the September release of Visual Studio, and build 50215
of .NET 2.0.  From what I can see have the required versions in place.

Any ideas - who am I missing something blindingly obvious with regards to
version numbers?

Judging by your subject, I take it you have the October CTP.  The
system requirements on the download page include the following minimum:

Microsoft .NET Framework SDK version 2.0 August 2005 Community Tech
Preview (Build 50727.07)

Sorry, didn't get the rest of the requirement.  It's either the
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 August 2005 Community Tech Preview
OR
Microsoft .NET Framework SDK version 2.0 August 2005 Community Tech
Preview (Build 50727.07)

So does that mean that WSE 3.0 does not work with the very latest CTP of
Visual Studio?

And where can I get build 50727.07 of the .NET Framework?  I've been
wandering around msdn for ages and can't find one with that build number.

Any help, pointers or suggestion are appreciated.

Now that I think about it, I believe I downloaded it from MSDN's
subscription site.  Maybe someone has a cached link to a freely
available download and will post it.

Looks like the release is in a couple of weeks. I should think that the
latest framework and WSE would be available then.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Looks like the new 2.0 SDK .Net Framework is out there now:

Thanks for all your help there Cory.  Much appreciated.
I have at long long last managed to WSE 3.0 installed and semi-working on
both client and server.

I say semi-working, as SecurityToken doesn't appear to behave the same as
WSE 2.0 - but that dilema is for a different thread.

Once again, thanks.
