Problem installing WSE 3.0 Beta

I just tried to install the WSE 3.0 Beta. I have VS2005 beta 2 installed.
The installation is on WinXP Pro.

The error I am receiving is:

Product: Microsoft WSE 3.0 -- Error 1722.There is a problem with this
Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish
as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action
RegisterRuntime, location: C:\WINNT\Installer\MSI52.tmp, command: INSTALL

WSE 3.0 beta is working with VS2005 August CTP
Your viersion is obsolete

MS have not released the August CTP .NET 2.0 SDK or Runtime ... instead you
need to get either a copy of August VS2005.

This doesn't seem either clever or helpful.
