Hi,

using Sender / Receiver from WSE 2 SP3 (but same feature in SP2) with VB and
W2K or XP.

After a few messages the performance chart in Windows Task Manager shows CPU
Usage as 100%. There is no apparent loss in performance. Other programmes
(mail client, mail server, web site, browsing, games etc.) all perform
normally. Soap Messages are sent and received ok. There's no apparent paging.
The Process aspnet_wp.exe shows it consuming all available CPU not consumed
by other processes (up to 99%).

Is this "normal"?

thanks

I had something like this happen when I had my wse tracing on. The trace
output and trace input files were getting really big. When I turned off the
tracing, the worker process went back to normal.

It was a good reminder to me to leave my debugging tools off when I'm not
using them. <g>

I blogged about this problem in May when it happened.

Julie,
thanks for the clue.
I had a slightly bloated (470mb) log file from a misconfigured and overused
Log4Net.
