All,

Little confused with WSE 3.0. I created a ASP.NET webservice using VS2005
but when I added the web reference in my web site I did not see any proxy
files as I did in WSE 2.0. Is this hidden now or am I missing something?

Thanks

this is an ASP.NET 2.0 thing

they took the "show all files" away. So unfortunately, you can't look at the
reference file.

boo hiss.

As far as I know I haven't seen any work around for this.

You can see it in for a web reference in a windows forms app though.

Here is the webteam's response to this issue in the bug tracker:

Thank you for your suggestion. We plan to improve web services integration
and will consider this in the next release. In the meantime, please note:
1. VS05 automatically generates the proxy code on the server side as needed.
2. You can manually generate the proxy code using wsdl.exe and add them to
the App_Code folder.
3. Creating a web reference creates a web.config key for the URL which you
can edit.
