Hi.
I installed Vista Beta this morning, but the glass look (transparent edges
etc. as seen in all beta 1 screentshots) aren't there.

My graphics card is an nVidia 6600, and I have a 2.53ghz processor with
512mb of
ram, so that shouldn't be the problem.

If you're running the 32bit version, install the LDDM drivers located on
nVidia's site.  That should allow Glass to be enabled.

I have seen many reports about problems with the nVidia graphics driver and
Vista.

I have a Radeon 6600 running build 5219. The setup.exe that came with the
alpha Nvidia drivers (75.03 I beleive, i'm not on my comp) don't work, it
says it doesn't find the card. I searched and searched for a solution,
finally I just stuck the exe on my desktop, used winrar and unrared
everything I could on the desktop. Updated my driver manually and pointed to
the desktop where it found the file. Rebooted and voila. The first few
reboots the sytem was slow, now it's running great w/ the new aero glass.
