In my book the book drags a datagridview and a detailsdatagrid onto the
form,

The person is able to set the two grids side by side.

In mine - i can only seem to set them under eachother.

Its almost like I am missing something like an 'absolute location' parameter
or something like frontpage had to drag items on the form.

Have I missed setting a parameter?

thanks,

Miro

I think i found it,

after draggin the object to the form, I click on "Format" and then
"Position"

Is there a default somewhere to set it to absolute always?
Or whats the norm people have set ? - If there is one.

Sorry for the begginer question, last 2 chapters are in ASP.net and its a
first time for me in this editor.

Miro,

ASPNet has to use HTML as that is used by all the webbrowsers. If Microsoft
would build something that was independend from that, then they would most
possible get a fine from governement parts in the US and the EU because they
are then inventive, while others complain while doing nothing about
invention because they will make money with their not so inventive products.

A little bit as it was in the midle ages of Europe where at a certain moment
progress was completely stopped and in fact was going backwards. (Only the
rich people were profiting by that because they made most people slave)

This means that we still have to use the way it was from the beginning of
Netscape in HTML <table><tr><td> to do things like what you want.

Cor,

That is a great view on the whole situation, and I 100% agree.

HTML it is - that at least i have a pretty good base from my notepad days.

Thanks,

Miro
