Two gridview questions

Hi --

I thought this would be a simple thing to do, but I haven't found a
way to do it.  Forgive me if it's a FAQ..

Can you limit the input of a column's cells to a certain number of
characters?  I see how to set column width but that's for GUI purposes
and sets the width in pixels, rather than limit the number of
characters that can be entered into a cell during editing.

Oops.  I said two questions.  Well, the other question would be, what
happened to the missing question?  And the answer to that is that
I figured it out as I was writing the post.
