I have installed dotnet 2.0 on two machines with Outlook BCM, and both have
caused problems with BCM loading. The first i restored the machine to before
the dotnet 2.0 was installed, and the second i removed BCM after which
Outlook opened fine. Is there a patch for this? If there is can i bundle it
with my app? App is coded with DotNet 2.0 VB

Thank you - Ed

Hi Ed,

As far as I know, the .NET framework 2.0 doesn't conflict with Outlook BCM.
Is there any error message when you launch Outlook after both BCM and .NET
framework 2.0 are installed?

Hi Kevin, What happens is Outlook refuses to open, it goes through that
circle of not being able to open, then producing a messagebox that offers to
open Outlook in safe mode this however doesnt work either. Only when i
removed BCM did Outlook open.

Hi,

I tried it on my machine with .NET framework 2.0 and BCM both installed.
However, it works fine. Is there any anti-virus software installed on your
machine that might cause this issue?

Hi Kevin perhaps there was antivirus on there, good to know there are no
issues; I will investigate those two machines further. As well i can now
tell my Boss that this isnt an incompatibility issue. Thank you for looking
into this.

best regards,
Ed
