Hi,
I have a setup problem.for .net framework 1.1 When I install the .net
framework into Windows2000 Advanced Server following message appear,
"Microsoft .NET framework Setup is failed" But before this framework
installation I have framework 1.0 in this machine but I can't uninstall from
add/remove program so I uninstall framework 1.0 manually. (The same message
appear)
When look at the event viewer following warning message appear.
"The description for Event ID ( 1015 ) in Source ( MsiInstaller ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be
able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and
Support for details. The following information is part of the event:
0x80080005, (NULL), (NULL), (NULL), (NULL), (NULL), (NULL)."

What should I do ? I should install framework1.1 in this machine. Please
help me..

Thanks.

Please check dotnetfx.log in your %temp% folder.  This log should have the
description of error why .net framework setup is failing.
Provide us with the entries in dotnetfx.log
