Hi,

During setup of the .NET Framwork v2.0 the following error occurs:

"IE5.01 or higher version is required prior to installing Microsoft .NET
Framework"

The installer displays some property info:
Property: DD_IE501FOUND_X86.3643236F_FC70_11D3_A536_0090278A1BB8
Signature: SearchForIE501_ENU_X86,3643236F_FC70_11D3_A536_0090278A1BB8

My WinXP SP2 had IE 6.x and now IE 7. I've tried removing any trace of prior .
NET installations. A similar error occurs when attempting to install v1.1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jens Schiefloe

Hello, Vead!

Did you try performing reinstall of IE 7?

That check appears to be a search in the System folder (System32) for a
version of shdocvw.dll with a version of at least 5.00.2919.6306. What
version do you have there?
