When installing the .NET frame work that is included with VS2005 or the .Net
Framework Redistributable x86 or the SDK on Vista Beta Build 5112, I get the
following error:
Error 25007.Error occurred while initializing fusion. Setup could not
load fusion with LoadLibraryShim(). Error: The handle is invalid
- I have tried to change the bogus directories for fusion.dll in the
registry, i.e. C?\ with a C:\.
- I have copied the msvcr80.dll to the
\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 directory
Any ideas would really be appreciated.

isn`t Vista itself built on the framework ????
i thought that you did not need a framework install at all on Vista
or am i missing something ?

That may be true, but when I try to install Visual Studioo 2005, it fails
because it is unable to install .Net 2.0 Framework. I can't believe I am the
only person experiencing this. I also, looked at the readme for Vista build
5112 and there is nothing to indicate .Net 2.0 cannot be installed or is
already installed.

No such directory exists, I get a message as an Admin that
I do have have sufficient privileges to start a .NET optimization
service.
What gives? Please reply via email, too.
