Hello,

I have problem with installing .NET Framework 1.1 on my Windows XP SP2
machine. The setup simply crashes at the end of installation process (during
registration of System.EnterpriseServices.dll) and I get the message :
RegSvcs.exe - Application has generated an exception that could not be
handled. Process id=0xdbc(3516)m Thread id=0xda4 (3492). After clicking ok,
setup did the roll-back.
I've installed the Windows XP SP2 with Bosnian regional settings, and I
presume that this could be the problem. I was trying to temporary change the
RS to English-US and then to install .NET but with no success. Is there any
solution other then reinstall the OS?

I have the same problem in my wxp sp2 that uses english. I suspect the
unpleasant removal of sp2, manual install net frame 1.1, and maybe wait to
reinstall sp2 may be your solution. I haven't done this because the last time
I uninstalled sp2 I swore I wouldn't reinstall it, but for reasons of
security I broke down and reinstalled it.ZID
