Hi,

Now when I fire up VS .NET Ent. and start a new C# WinForms Project (or VB.NET project) I get an error message :

"VC Package not available or not registered"

Strangely I can open a previous WinForms project in C# and re-build and run it without any problem !

Among the things I've tried lately has been installing and running the "SmartForms" demo package from VB2TheMax, but those folks
know what they are doing, and I seriously that after uninstalling their demo it could cause any lasting side effect on VS .NET.

More likely is that one of the recent SP2 updates I've installed from the Windows Update Site is the problem ?

Appreciate any thoughts. The thought of re-installing the whole thing again is truly depressing (I've had to re-install about five
times now).

Even though I am a registered owner of this USA purchased copy, I have never received one single e-mail from Microsoft announcing
any service packs or updates.

thanks,  Bill Woodruff

Download and install the Microsoft Windows Scripting Host 5.6 from the
http://msdn.microsoft.com/scripting website.  This should resolve the issue
for you.
