Problems installing - Error 1935.An error occured during the installation of assembly component

Hi all,

I am trying to install the .Net framework and am getting an install error:

Error 1935.An error occured during the installation of
assembly component {2B6E7D21-976B-48BE-ACD7-
6CF2C51B3EC1}. HRESULT: -2147024891

I have tried renaming the mscoree.dll file to .old as suggested in some
articles. But still no joy.

does any of you know what could be causing this ?

go to windows; --- system32 directory and delete the mscoree.dll

I do hope deleting mscoree.dll won't pose any challenge to the prper working of the operating systems. Does it has any side effect?

my own specified error is Error 1935:An errr occured during the installation of assembly component {D825FIC6-87AB-11D5-A54F-000278A1BB8}.HRESULT:-2146234299.

What can I do to rectify this error? I need an answer desperately.Pls, help me.

Installing VISUAL STUDIO.NET FRAMEWORK has been so impossible coz of this error.

It may be a Windows XP PRO problem, log in as administrator to the loca
computer account and try installing again
