You know, it really bites when you hear about a feature that would
really help you, only to find out that they took it out.  Aren't
upgrades supposed to enhance features?

When I heard you could reverse engineer C# code (Visio describes the
steps in their help file) I was in static.  Rational Rose offers the
feature for C++, but not C#, since it is so new.

I looked and looked in my version (2003) and could not find it.  Then,
at school, I looked in their version (2002) it was right where the
Visio help described.  In the Project menu.

Why would they take such a helpful feature out?

Actually, it is still supported (at Project | Visio UML | Reverse Engineer).
Did you install the Visio for Enterprise Architects version that came with
Visual Studio .NET 2003? It might need to be installed after the IDE itself.

Check to see if you installed Visio Standard (that the edition of Visio for
business customers) instead of Visio Professional (that's the edition for
engineers and other technical professionals).  It should say which edition
in the About Box.

Yes, I have Visio Professional.  That's where I got the help topic
saying I could use Visual Studio.

No, there isn't a version in my distribution for Visio for Enterprise
Architects in my version of VS 2003 (Professional, version 7.1.3088).
I just got done rerunning setup to add features.  It wasn't listed.

Is there a possible update online.  Maybe I've got an old version of
VS 2003?

It would really be nice to have this feature.

Visio integration is only available at the Enterprise Architect level of
Visual Studio.

sorry for the griping.  realized reason I didn't have it was because
school computer had enterprise edition of 2002, while I had pro
version of 2003.  Wish I'd spent a little more, now.

It should still work. Have you installed the Visio that comes with VS2003
Enterprise Architect?
