I've downloaded the SDK ISO image but I can't get the installation to work.
When I try to run setup.exe, or any of the .msi files, I get a popup message
from Windows Installer which says:
"This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application
vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."
Does this mean that my download somehow has a corrupt image, or is the image
itself faulty, or is there something else that I need to do?
Thanks,
Judy Booth

It could be a corrupted download. But before redownloading, try clearing all
temporary files under [drive]:\Documents and Settings\{youruser}\Local
Settings\Temp
Next, restart your computer and try running the setup again.

The problem seems to have been a corrupt download. Now that I have downloaded
it again the image is 6Mb larger than before and will now install.

Have you tried doing a clean reinstalling of WinFX? Uninstall it 1st,
redownload it, clear temp files, restart PC and try installing through the
new setup file.
Let us know if this works.
