I have to do to enable client side script on an asp:textbox?

Hello,

You can add an attribute to the TextBox control in form_load event. For
example:

private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
        {
            TextBox1.Attributes.Add("onclick","alert('hello!');");
        }

Hope this help,

add the onclick attribuite

e.g.
onclick="return myJsMethod();"

now in the myJsMethod();

you will need to

return false;
if u do not want to page to do a asp.net  postback
or
return true;
if u do want to page to doi a asp.net postback
