I know this is not the ultimate group for that question - any pointers
are welcome:
( I've posted it on the next group but there was no answer

What I'm looking for is a doc that list the rules for condition
validity.

Problem:
I'm trying to set BP condition as
   System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.Name =MyClass.MyPublicConstString
and get the dreaded error "The condition is invalid"

Note that when comparing to a (quoted fixed) string - the
conditional breakpoint works like a charm ...

I'm looking for a doc / KB / article / BLOG that list the rules for
condition validity.

During my searches I found two thread that claim some features works in

VB.NET but not in C# (I'm not sure if this is still valid)

  http://www.dotnet247.com/247reference/msgs/16/80756.aspx
So any data on other such differences will also be appreciated.

And above all - I wont it to just work (a call to the Microsoft team)

Conditional breakpoints only work for parameters that are set at compile
time, IIRC

at least on the left site of the condition - there is no problem having
parameter (this is the whole point), and const string IS evaluated at
compile time ...

What am I missing?

And again - is there a way to get extended logging on the reason for
the error "The condition is invalid"???
