Searching for a Twain API

Hello,

I would like to know if someone have informations about a
FREE Twain API.

I would like to make a program which have to control  
cannon scanner.

You're probably better off using Windows Image Acquisition instead of
TWAIN.  TWAIN is really old and only supported for legacy devices.
