As I understand, there are no PIAs from Microsoft for VBRUN or VBA (Correct
me if I am wrong).  What does MS suggest you do if you want to sign a VB
control instance via the aximp tool?  Is the suggestion to sign our own copy
of VBRUN and deploy it to the GAC for use by our components?

Any help would be great.

Hi

Do you mean the two dlls below?
vba6.dll
msvbvm60.dll

So far we have no official PIA for that.
If you want to digital sign the two dll, you need to create the Interop
Assembly for them and then sign them via aximp/tlbimp.

As for if put it into GAC, I think that depend on your request, if you put
it into GAC, then it will be shared  by all the application which use it on
the same machine.

Best regards,
