I have a very small program that opens and reads data from an Excel XP
spreadsheet. When the user upgraded to Office 2003 my program stopped
working. I used Office XP PIA:s in the solution and I reckon I must add
Office 2003 PIA:s. But I don't have Office XP, so how can I add them? I've
downloaded O2003PIA.MSI, but I can't install it because an Office XP products
is required. What can I do? There seems to be nowhere to download trial
versions of Office 2003 products, which rules that option out.

In what way did it stop working? AFAIK you shouldn't have to upgrade
any PIA, the app should work against O2003 too.

The program reads an Excel file and populates a ListView with non-empty rows.
After the client upgraded from Office XP to Office 2003, the ListView comes
up empty.

I did at last yesterday find a downloadable trial version of Office 2003 and
changed the references in the project file to 11.0 from 10.0 of the Object
Library. I haven't heard back from the client yet, so I don't know if that
changed anything.

Funnily, even with the trial version installed I still can't install the
Office 2003 PIA files from that separate download.

Also with both Office XP and Office 2003 installed, I wanted to test them
separately, but that doesn't seem entirely uncomplicated either.

Still thankful for any advice or help,

Kenneth Bohman
