Confuse about component

i'm new to .net.i want to create component. how to i do it? moreover,i doubt
that Dll is the component,right? if i create the component,what standard is
it base on?

When you say you want to create a component - what exactly do you mean? A
native .net assembly? A winforms control? A COM object? You'll need to
provide a bit more information.
