Hi,
Is there an example or description somewhere that shows how to create a
control in C# and then using COM Interop enable the control to be placed on
a VB6 form?

Hi,
Hosting a windows forms control on VB6 is not supported in .NET framework
v1.1, since every ActiveX container behavies slightly differently and
causes incompatibilities for the controls being hosted. Currently the only
supported containers are Internet Explorer and MFC7.0.
Thanks!

Thank you for your reply.

I was using VB6 for a quick test. We have a C++ program using ATL that
actually hosts these controls. Will this work?
Regards,
Ian

Hi Ian,

Sorry, for the confusion...
The supported unmanaged host for windows forms control is Internet explorer
and  >>>MFC 7.1<<< -- the version of MFC comes with VS2003.
ATL is not officially supported in version 1.1.
You may find more info on host the control in MFC in the following article:

Thanks!
