English dotnetfx.exe 1.1 is dated 3/30/2004
German dotnetfx.exe 1.1 is dated 22.05.2003

It has been reported to me that our application crashes on a German machine
with the German dotnetfx installed, but installing the English dotnetfx
cures it.

Does anybody know why there are differing dates?  Has anyone else
experienced anything similar?  How should I proceed?  Any suggestions at all
would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Devin Dow

The time stamps reported on the download site do strike me as peculiar, but
when comparing the version numbers of the two redist packages, Everything
seems to be in order:

English:    1.1.4322.573
German:   1.1.4322.579

Have you by chance tried installing service pack 1, and if so, did that
make any difference? I'd be very surprised though if the language version
of the redist had any affect on functionality. It may be that the German
redist package was corrupted on download or during install.

Cheers,
Garrett
