Dear All,

I am trying to convert an asp web application to a international
version, I am done with the screen labels and text that appears on the
screen depending on the language what the user selects. But i have
problems if a client has a regional setting other than english, he is
able to see all the labels and messages in the language he has
selected, but the problem occurs with th dates and ccur functions. There
are some parts of code where we have used formatdate functions. As the
formatdate and the system fuctions reflect the regional settings of the
client using the application. When some dates of this fashion are
passed on to the server to fetch some results, the sql server throws an
error.

Can anyone suggest me how to solve this problems the efficient way

Thanks in Advance

Regards
Sunil.

Hello Sunil, can you please confirm if it's a pure ASP application or if
it's an ASP.NET one?
Thanks,
Aldo

Dear Aldo Donetti

Thanks for the reply, It is a combination on ASP and .Net pages.

Let me know if you need more information.

Hi Linus, the most efficient way from a performance perspective would be to
use stored procedures and pass them parameters.
To correctly handle your dates with SQL Server you might want to use the
CONVERT function, as explained in Michael Kaplan's article here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dnsql2k/html/intlfeaturesinsqlserver2000
.asp?frame=true&_r=1

Please let me know if you need more info
