VS Pro side-by-side with Xpress?

Greetings,

I have Visual Studio 2005 with Team System Developer installed on my primary
development box.  I would like to install the XNA stuff but it requires VS
2005 Express.  Can Express co-exist with Professional?  I can just install
Express in a virtual machine but the virtual machine likely won't take
advantage of my nVidia series 62 graphics card.

Can they exist side-by-side? (VS 2005 Express and Pro)?

Thanks,
Shawn

The first caveat is that since (IIRC) that the XNA Framework is still
in beta, it is generally not advisable to install beta software on your
primary development box.

That said, I have installed XNA and C# Express along side VS 2005
Professional and have not noticed any problems.

Agreed.  However, its no different than having the endlessly beta managed
DirectX installed.  The Express IDE is not beta, so I don't have a problem
installing it if need be.  The XNA framework, on the other hand, I'd like to
look more into and I don't have a spare hard disk or the time to create a
new Windows install.  So since its only installing some DLL's then I think
it'll be fine.  If not, I'll rebuild my machine.  This is a hobby endeavor,
not professional.  However, on any of my virtual machines or actual hard
disks I have not been required to reinstall Windows in almost 4 years now
and I'd hate to break the lucky streak.  I use Windows XP SP2 daily and
rarely reboot.

I installed it and it works fine.  My VS 2005 Pro Developer edition works
fine with Express installed.  However, I do not require the Express IDE to
use the framework, only the special things they provide that makes game
studio what it is.

Thanks,
Shawn
