Hi all,

I have switched from VC 6.0 to .NET 2003 about 6 months ago.
I regret it every day since.
It's uncomfortable, it breaks all habits from VC6.0 (Class Wizard, I will
miss you forever).
It's buggy, I am never sure what's going to happen, especially in resource
editor.
It produces some strange file instead EXE.

How about 2005 ?
What are your impressions ?
Is it any better ?

Best Regards
PawelS

I have found 2003 to be very stable, actually. I have personally no issues
with bugs of any sort.

2005, by contrast, I have found to be buggy, not to mention considerably
slower then 2003.

I have to agree noting VS2003 mangled code very badly which was supposed to
be repaired in VS2005 but I'm still having some nagging problems with that
as well as other really problematic occurences building and testing pages.

I was happy with it for a while, until I ran into a number of bugs and
limitations (the clipboard is pathetically crippled, for one).  Now I'm
disillusioned with it.  Not ready for prime time IMO.  Another MS disaster.
