I own a Dell 4600C and every time I try to install SP 3, I get an
authenication message and run the authenication program.  It tells me that my
system is not valid.  However, when I run diagnotics and/or other apps that
check the software and OS, I am told that everything is MS.  How can I get
this to be recognized by the Authenication app??

Are you talking about SP3 for Windows XP?  If so, then you are in the
wrong newsgroup.  This newsgroup is for .NET Framework programming
questions.

If you are having trouble with Windows XP, you should post your question
to a newsgroup that is related to the installation and use of Windows XP.

Thank you.  I really didn't know where to go and thought General Discussions
might be the place.  Would never have guessed .NET!!

Yes, trying to install SP3.
