I am trying to install internet secutiry software but keep getting a message
saying I can't remove or install this program with Windows Mail running. I
have tried just signing out and closing windows mail but continue to get the
same message. How can I turn it off completely?

Hello aqualifestl,

Go to the task manager, application tab, select your windows mail application,
right mouse click, select "go to the process" and kill the process

after that try to install your app again
