How can I give my code permissions?

Hi,

I have an assembly which needs to create a file. I use:

FileStream destStream = new FileStream(pathFileName,
FileMode.Create, FileAccess.Write, FileShare.None);
StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(destStream);
XmlWriter xml = new XmlTextWriter(writer);
----------

but it is giving me an exception that it requires
System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermissionAccess.Write access.

How can I give that permission to my code?

Hi Juan ,

Do you run your assembly from potential unsafe locations, such as network
share, remote web site etc..? I assume so.

Based on the error message, it looks like the .Net code access security
exception. This means that the code group your assembly falls into does not
have the FileIOPermission.

To resolve this problem, you may use "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Configuration" tool to create a new code group for your assembly. For this
new code group, you may assign the FileIOPermission to it so that it can
create disk files without any problem.
