Can't convert 2007 word in Works Suite 2006

I've downloaded the compatibility pack to convert 2007 word documents in
Suite 2006 but I still get the error message that I have to update the
compatibility pack. I stopped using Office Word 2007 and I'm stuck with the
2007 documents that I can't open.

Step 1: find a newsgroup that actually pertains to the use of Microsoft
Office products.

This newsgroup is for .NET programming questions, and answers along
those lines aren't going to help you with your problem.
