Hi all,

I am currently having a problem with NT Bkup. I have a file server and a
separate DC. Dc is running windows server 2003 R with SP2. Since yesterday
while doing a simple backup on tape, it gives me the error as below:

Backup Status
Operation: Backup
Active backup destination: Ecrix VXA-1
Media name: "Sunday"

Volume shadow copy creation: Attempt 1.
Timeout before function completed

Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:0xffffffff.

Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:ffffffff
Aborting Backup.

The operation did not successfully complete.

When looking in event viewer, i see 2 errors-
NTBAckup - Event ID 8019
VSS - Event ID 12302

I search through th entire forum, and tried to register some dlls. But again
same error.

Can anyone help.

Thanks in advance,

Raven

This doesn't appear to be a question related to writing software using
the .NET Framework.  As such, it's off-topic here.

You should look for a newsgroup that is more related to your question,
such as one concerning the use of the NT Backup utility, or possibly
even specific to the hardware you're using.
