I cannot open any attachments on my computer, whether it is via e-mail or saved on my system. I get a message each time I try to open it saying that Windows Installer is preparing to install and then nothing happens. I have rebooted several times, run my virus scan, and restored my setting to a previous date, all to no avail. I would appreciate any guidance. Thanks. The best suggestion you can get here is to try a different newsgroup. One intended for answering questions about using Windows, for example. This newsgroup is for .NET Framework programming questions, and your question doesn't seem to be in that category. Thanks!
