Hi. Is there any kind of engine that comes with .NET to allow me to create a
file which JIT compiles and runs as a "script" in Windows? Meaning, is there
a way to do this where I don't have to build a whole Project and everything
but I can still create something in C#?

I don't know the details, but System.Reflection should help you do this.
Even simpler, I believe the C# command-line compiler comes with the .NET
framework, you may be able to write C# code to a file, execute the
command-line compiler, then run the result.  I've not tried either myself, I
may be wrong.

Hi Alex,

As other members has suggested, start from .NET framework 2.0, for such
custom script execution or dynamic code execution in .net application, it
is recommended that you use the .NET Reflection interface to implement such
functionality. The origionally VSA script engine is deprecated now.

Hope this also helps.
