How do I add a reference to System.Speech in Visual Studio?  SignatureArne Garvander (I program VB.Net for fun and C# to get paid.) First of all install .NET Framework 3.0 coz it's available only there. Then add the System.Speech component as usually (eg Project > Add Reference). The file System.Speech.dll should be at this location: \Program Files\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\v3.0 If it is there try to install the Visual Studio 2005 extensions for .NET Framework 3.0 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5D61409E-1FA3-48CF-8023 -E8F38E709BA6&displaylang=en#Overview After that it should appear in the reference list (coz if you use the VS 2005). In fact, depending on what optical media burning software you have, if you simply rename the file so that the extension is .iso instead of .img, you may find that double-clicking on the file takes you directly into your burning software's UI for making a disk out of it. Pete or use MagicDisk (http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htm) or another tools (http://richmercer.com/archive/2006/08/29/Mounting-ISO-Images-in-Vista-5536.aspx) to mount it as a drive. Than click Browse : [.NET] [COM] [Projects] ->[Browse] [Current] Than go to C:\Windows\System32\Speech\Common There you can see sapi.dll double left click it ... now you see SpeechLib as Reference in you References, by the way its the COM version of the sapi.dll, i think SAPI 5.1, i don't quit know because i am using Vista Ultimate here ... To use the Lib in C# Code simply add an using SpeechLib; or type SpeechLib.<speech lib member class or interface> thats it, you may grap the documentation from the sapi 5.1 sdk, maybe you should first install the Speech SDK 5.1 from microsoft.
