Hi there,

One of our admins has reconfigured a 3rd party Window Service's
credentials to custom ones. I'd like to switch it back to NT
AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE. Is this possible without reinstalling the
entire application, e.g. from command line or via a utility?

Thanks,
-Oleg.

You can reconfigure the service's credentials using the Services applet
in Control Panel.

Apologies, I should have mentioned it. If I try to set credentials to
NETWORK SERVICE through Services applet, it asks me for the password
for this account, which I don't think is possible to attain.

Please advise,

-Oleg.

After you select NETWORK SERVICE as the user account, blank out the
password boxes.  No password is needed.
