.net framework 2.0 on Windows 2003 server running Citrix Metaframe

Hello,
I've installed .net framework 2.0 on a Windows 2003 Terminal server
running Citrix Metaframe XP.
The problem is that any compiled .net 2.0 exe file fails to run.
The error message is typically some unreadable characters and then a
registry path e.g. "REGISTRY\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OLEAUT".
I've tried to compile a dummy application with just an empty form but
the same thing happens. Even framework tools e.g. InstallUtil.exe gives
the error. The message looks slightly different for different
applications might imply that this is some kind of "buffer overrun" or
similar.
Any .net Framework 1.1 application run fine. Office 2003 is also
installed on server and runs fine.
I've also tried to run as a local administartor but without success.
The applications obviously run fine on another server without the
Citrix installed.
Anyone know anything to solve this issue? I've also contacted Microsoft
Partner Support but I thought I give this a shot as well.
Best regards
Johan

With help from the support guys at Microsoft, I solved the issue by
disable the Citrix Memory Optimization feature in Citrix Presentation
Server 4.0.
