Macintosh version of the .net Framework?

Hello Bootstrap,

Good question, seems because there are openSource versions are available,
like "Rotor" or "Mono"

Do you mean for Mac OS? That would be something to ask the
developers/maintainers of Mac OS about. Microsoft has released all the specs
so that others can create Framework ports for other operating systems (Mono,
for example).

er. No.

Microsoft has released the specs for the CLI, the C# language and so
forth.

That doesn't get us the APIs, which haven't been released; except in
terms of their interface documentation -- which often leave a lot to be
desired.

And the .net framework isn't much use if key libraries aren't available,
or if they don't work exactly like the microsoft versions.

Because they don't want to support Mac-OS, and making applications
portable between Windows and Mac will make switching to Windows
unnecessary for some users...
