Has the production version of .NET 2.0 been released and if not, any idea as
to when?
Tim Wilson - 13 Sep 2005 00:47 GMT
Not yet. November is the official release.

Final release is November. The release candidate is set for this month and I
would not be surprised to see it released during the PDC, based on the
content being passed out.

I am developing with the Release Candidate version of VS2005, but my host
(http://discountasp.net/) has beta 2.0 installed.  There are significant
differences and my membership based app won't run on the host environment.
They tell me that they won't upgrade until final release because there is no
RC distribution of the 2.0 framework, and they don't plan to install VS2005
RC.

Is there any easy way for them to install the RC framework alongside beta 2?
